Kerrianne, a recent transplant was raised in the great state of Iowa. She attended the University of Iowa and majored in Applied Human Services, with an emphasis in community-based work. When she wasn’t cheering on the Hawkeyes, you could find her in the community volunteering, and getting involved at some of her favorite nonprofit organizations. At her favorite, Dance Marathon, she helped raise money for the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital, Gems of Hope, and Meals on Wheels.

Kerrianne found her love for nonprofits when she got introduced to Mission Starfish Haiti, which works to provide high quality, free education to the children of Gonaives, Haiti. Inspired by their story, Kerrianne raised funds for their community and volunteered her time over in Gonaives to help pursue their mission.

Moving away from Iowa to colorful Colorado last fall has been an exhilarating experience for her. The active lifestyle that Colorado has to offer, is what intrigued her the most about this beautiful state. If she’s not in the mountains hiking and camping, you can find her running around Denver, training for a road race or relaxing with fellow Iowans who have also made Colorado their home. She is excited to be part of Team Starboard!
